Once you’re able to stop looking at that new piece of jewelry on your finger, you’ll find yourself wondering: how do I plan my bridal look? What is the right shade of lipstick for my wedding? Where can my bridesmaids and I get our hair & makeup done that is Insta-worthy and allows us to truly enjoy our time together?

For the listers and the planners as well as the “it will all come together” laid back brides – we’ve put together this page to help you get your wedding day hair and makeup taken care of and get on to the cake tasting.

  • Book your date with Blush’s bridal coordinator
  • Put the deposit down
  • Book your trial – we recommend booking this in January -May (or at least 3 months out)
  • Reach out to your girls and see who wants to get their hair and make up done
  • Decide whether you’d like to join us at the salon or have us meet you at your wedding venue or hotel

How to prep for your trial

The first thing is to decide what your bridal vibe will be – Simple & Sheek, Bohemian Princess or Classic Updo?

Scour the interwebs and bridal mags for a compilation of images that portray the look you’re going for. Pinterest can be a great place to start – we’ve even created a Pinterest board of our favorite bridal looks.

We recommend you keep three things in mind: Brows, Blush & Lip – these elements will come together to make you pop in person and in your wedding photos. We’ll help you find the right shades and combinations to keep you looking your best.

Once you’ve got a handle on your desired look, it’s time to book your session. Our bridal coordinator will book the date for your big day, we will also find a time for you to come in for your trial run. This will allow us to work on nailing your look without the pressure and time constraints of your actual wedding day.

We recommend that you wear a similar shade of white as your dress to your trial so we can see what works with that shade. During your trial, we will also help you create the perfect day-of experience. You can pre-order bottles of champagne for you and your girls, reserve stylists and makeup artists for the bridal party and help us set parameters to make sure we make getting ready almost as memorable as the ceremony itself.

Trial Checklist:

  • Inspiration photos
  • Wear white so we can be sure to match your makeup to something close to your dress color
  • 1-2 days dirty hair
  • Clean face for makeup
  • Be sure to bring your Hair Accessories & Veil
  • An idea of what you want your day of to be like (would you like to pre-order drinks, do you want us to come to you, etc.)
What does it mean to be a Blush Bride?

We want our brides to be worry free once they leave our session and while they’re getting beautified. During your time with us we will provide you with a complimentary glass of champagne. We will also send you to the wedding venue with a touch up kit including, lipstick, mascara and foundation so you can easily keep your makeup looking fresh even after you’ve shaken it on the dance floor for a few hours.

As for your bridesmaids, our salon is set up perfectly for them to have their hair and makeup done if they choose as well as catch up, get to know each other and sip champagne. We’ll even help you pre-order champagne of your choice so you can stay on budget and be sure that your girls have just what they need to enjoy the day.
